Marie Pudlowski joined Childress Ahlheim Cary LLC in 2018 as a trial lawyer representing defendants in civil litigation cases. Marie brought significant experience and a well-rounded background to the firm. Prior to working at the firm, she served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for over 5 years. She learned how to successfully prosecute crimes—trying over 30 bench trials and 21 jury trials—and, now, she is using her knowledge and experience to identify weaknesses in cases and successfully defend them.
She has dealtwith all stages of litigation, including pre-trial strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial. Marie also has significant experience investigating cases fromher career prior to law as a Children's Division Investigator in Ohio.
In 2017, the Child Advocacy Center of East Central Missouri recognized her skills by naming her Child Advocate of the year.
Marie graduated summa cum laude from The University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In 2011, she graduated summa cum laude from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio while serving as the Managing Editor of the Capital University Law Review. Marie received the Academic Excellence Award for the highest grade in General Litigation Clinic, Trial Advocacy, Negotiation, and Legal Research and Writing.
She is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Marie was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Currently, she lives in St. Louis County with her husband, three children, and Rhodesian Ridgeback. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and hiking at the local state parks.
